“I Didn’t Do Anything”

I have been traveling to different parts of my area to find new friends and I lucked out again last night. Remember last Saturday night? Every time I do this I get lucky. Last night I met up with a guy I haven’t seen in 18 years. What a nice sunrise. He knew me when I walked in the door and I had no idea who he was. In fact I had to think about it for a while. We sat and talked for hours later and he told me he is doing great…He said I helped him many years ago and he has a great life now. (aw blush). He is the fifth person to tell me that he mentions me when he gives a speech. The rest are all gorgeous young woman…Remember Hillary, Tina, Kim and Darlene (Ahem) What else is new? In reality these folks just “Really” listened and did as I suggested. I didn’t do anything. Thinking about this I realized that these tiny things will be my legacy. I only say this because I worked very hard for a very a long time to be where I am today. Its wonderful to know that these beautiful people will be saying nice things about me for years to come….

Not to long ago I needed new glasses. I thought why not the new rimless kind that the news anchors wear. They were expensive and thinking that expensive is better, I bought them. Well its not. I only had them for a short time before they fell apart. I didn’t break them. It was like there was a bad part installed in them. I could be really angry about that and I will admit to being very disappointed. I get angry only because you have spend so much money for something that just isn’t worth it. I guess its because they are gold but I don’t even know about that?  I’ll  pick them up today and I will restrain myself from commenting. I went there the other day and encountered a young woman with an attitude problem. That could be some of the issue I have with this place. Realizing that I have the power, so to speak, I could say something to a supervisor and start a whole wrath of stuff for this kid. I just wouldn’t want to responsible for her losing her job….Good luck to her. See, I just saved someone else and she doesn’t even know it…Later guys! Have a good one…

“Mustang Update”

I know, I forgot to update on the Mustang…I’ve been busy with other things. They replaced the shifter. That’s the lever you use to change gears.. You don’t want to know how much that cost. Guess what? I brought the car in because the red light went on for the gas tank and while it was there to fix this and that.. Well, wouldn’t you know the red light went out the day after I cleaned the gas cap and reset the car computer, So they found nothing wrong with it after they checked the system with their computer. Make sense? I know, it doesn’t to me either. They did replaced the cabin filter. That stops pollen and foul air. They changed spark plugs and the PVC valve, what ever that is…The car runs better and it is quicker. Almost like when it was new.…I expected that…For that kind of money they should have given me a hooker for the day also… As soon as it gets a little warmer here, maybe next week or the week after, I’m going to Cape Cod for a few days. I always go early in the season when there are no crowds. I’ve just got to go to the National seashore for the day. I miss that place. Maybe I‘ll bring my bike and do some riding while I’m there. I’m feeling a little anxious and I’ve got to get out of here for a while.. This morning, here in the State of Connecticut its 26 degrees…

“Spring 2011”

I had a good day yesterday, although it was nothing special……Today its supposed snow or rain which its fitting. Well, after all it is Monday and the first full day of Spring. If it didn’t rain it just wouldn’t be right. The shoreline is rain, inland is snow. What a bummer for them up there. Wow,  where does the time go? Spring 2011…Wow!
Well, Its business as usual and we are in our third war against the Muslims around the world…..The rhetoric and lies have started. I think they were looking at old news clips to get an idea of what to say. Its to the point where its almost boring…If they start saying, “shock and awe” and “weapons of mass destruction” I am going to throw up! The mighty United States with all its power and weight is being sucked into combat by people who wear sheets and believe the same thing they did in the middle ages….Gas prices are rising, the Arabs are getting richer and the citizens of the U.S. are scrimping for nickels…..Its just another day of fear and anxiety. Overshadowed and almost forgotten by this new war is the fact that 18,000 people have died in Japan… Wanna bet they will find radioactive food in our food supply here in the United States? The question is, how long will it take? I do know one thing for sure! There are a lot of pissed off people here in this country.

“Mustang”

Its going to be close to 70 degrees here in Connecticut. It’s a one day only thing so I’ll have to take advantage. My car has gas tank issues, I mean the little red light won’t go off even though I have cleaned the gas cap and reset the computer. It worked before when I cleaned it. I guess I’ll have to get a new one, I’ll try that because it’s the original cap. If that doesn’t work I’ll make an appointment at the Ford dealer. I hate those pesky red lights on the instrument cluster…It needs engine work anyway after this winter. I just don’t like being without my Mustang for a few days…Stay tuned…

“Radiation”

When the Three Mile Island accident occurred 32 years ago in 1979 we or rather I thought we were all going to die. (link below) It was explained on TV then that if the fuel rods weren’t cooled down by a continuous flow of cold water they would (meltdown) or burn until it they burned down to the earths core which is already burning. It would then somehow erupt the fires from the center of the earth and it would be the end of the world. I am not kidding, they really thought that in 1979.. I don’t know if that is true but according the Catholic Bible this is going to happen at the end of the world. Irony? The power plant meltdown in Japan makes me think….I know for sure that if something isn’t done quickly over there. A lot of people are going to die. Not this minute but in the near future. Radiation poisoning is a very painful slow death and there is no cure. I mean even if you have too many x-rays it can cause damage for a short exposure. They are already talking about the x-ray machines at the airports and how they can hurt you. I heard that our Military is using helicopters to help out. I don’t know what the circumstances are but they had better not get too close. I don’t think there is a suit or protective gear than can help the workers. I believe working in that environment is a death sentence. I know that all that radiation shortens your life expectancy and it causes a kind of cancer. All I hear now on the news is speculation but somehow I got the feeling that we are going to end up suffering and paying for all this. Like the oil leak in the Gulf, now this is causing death, pain and suffering. Why?

Japan Before and After the Tsunami

Again my friend doesn’t let me down. Put your mouse arrow on the center of the picture on the mark. Hold it down then slide right or left to see the difference before and after…Like he says, “unbelievable”…

These are interactive, overlay satellite photos of the areas struck by the tsunami. Drag the center line of the photo all the way to the right to see the area prior to the tsunami. Then slowly drag it to the left to see the same area today. You will NOT believe what you see – it is like watching the wave come ashore and creating all of the devastation. What we are seeing on the news media today does not do justice to what actually occurred. Tens of thousands had to have been killed in this event. It is truly unbelievable.

“Jim Calhoun”

If you read my post’s, you know that nothing disturbs me more than corruption in our government and of coarse the underlying factors of how it begins by lying and cheating…Is it any wonder why being dishonest is commonplace in our society>? Here in the State of Connecticut we have the famous UConn Basketball Team. UConn as you probably know, is Short for the University Of Connecticut…On this team the head coaches name is James Camble Calhoun and he just signed a new contract which is documented on the link at the bottom of the page.… Here are just a few of the details….Coach Calhoun will receive $2,700,000.00 for the 2011-12 season and $3,000,000.00 for 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. Therein is my problem….The NCAA has suspended Mr. Calhoun for the first three games of the 2012 season for recruiting violations. This was reported on local TV and the radio as a passing thought without a hint of scandal or blame. In other words it was, oh hum business as usual and on to the next story. Of all people to set an example of being above reproach should be a college teacher-coach. Coach Calhoun should step down and admit wrong doing. In these days of poverty, welfare, high prices and food lines, you can’t just overlook these things anymore. You can’t sweep this under the rug. To most Connecticut taxpayers these days every nickel counts. I can’t help it but to me the coaches behavior sounds like dishonesty and cheating. The questions to our Legislators and Senators are? Did tax dollars pay for the high priced lawyers he used to defend himself in this case? He, of coarse has denied the allegations but the NCAA still suspended him. To me that sounds like an old fashion plea bargain. Like, I’ll admit to this as long as I don’t have to say that…Its lawyer nonsense and a cover-up to hide the facts so he doesn’t lose his job. Like, I’ll plea to and take the suspension but not admit to anything so they can’t fire me. It just irks me to think, that maybe he has done this in the past and just got caught this time? I mean once a liar always a liar. Are the games the team has won in the past legitimate or did he somehow cheat to win? It is no doubt UConn has a great winning record. 823-358. Did they win because he cheated and lied or did something dishonest? The last question is obvious. In these tough economic times, is the State of Connecticut going to use our Tax dollars to pay him for the suspended games? By letting this slid by, his cheating is validated and makes it OK to win at any cost, including being dishonest. They cut tax dollars from school programs and other important things but keep a coach that won’t admit he lies and cheats. Will the good Coach donate the salary for those three suspended games, estimated at $200,000.00 for a forty game season, back to the taxpayers? I think to set a good example for our youth, this so-called famous coach-teacher should return the money to the taxpayers and do something that will teach the kids honesty. I honestly think the coach has been around a bit too long and his contract should be terminated for violating the public trust. His hand has been in the cookie jar far too long. “Life Without the Insanity”

I got up at 9:00 this morning. Did you remember daylight savings time? I did. The news is all about the Meltdown this morning. Now that’s sad….Charlie has joined “The nice voice guy” in the halls of anonymity. On tap will be Lindsey and Mel. Do you see what all these people have in common? Oh well, that’s it for today…The days are getting longer and its getting warmer. I think I’ll take a walk on the beach today and thank God for my life without the insanity…..

“Save your Money”

Its so sad about the earth quake and the lives lost. From what I understand tiny earth tremors happen there all the time.. So this wasn’t something that unusual. Only really bigger. The Tsunami was not expected but predicted and it happened. Now that’s really something. A monster wave coming ashore and sweeping aside buildings, houses, cars and people like they were toys. Hell, even I was thinking that I’m glad I live on the East coast on second floor even though I live two miles from the ocean. In the beginning of the movie “Hereafter” with Matt Damon is a good example of a Tsunami. I feel the anxiety and helplessness of the people caught in one of things. As usual, the President of our country offered to send financial aid to this poor country. Yeah right, poor county! A country that already sucks the lifeblood out of the United States in the form of imports, clothes, electronics and jobs. Now they are talking about nuclear meltdowns. Not one but two. Between the oil companies and this, I mean they already have drained our economy to the point of revolution. Yes, I’d be the first one to admit I am insensitive but our seemingly endless money pit can only pay for so much. We have to draw the line somewhere. The United States cannot pay for all the all the disasters in the world. Its got to stop somewhere. In trying to prevent suffering we cause suffering. What if you tried to run your household finances like they do this country? Think about that! All you hear today is spend, spend, spend. When was the last time you heard the word save?  See my point? They hate us, steal from us, warn us, bomb us, kill us, use us, abuse us and yet we continue on filling the jails with people that will go out and do the same thing all over again. They know that these things are going to happen there. Its their choice to live there. Hey, maybe they all should come to the United States and become illegal so they can get a low paying job then the taxpayers can pay for everything in the form of welfare. Hold it, that’s what is going on now….Lets face it, the bottom line is the taxpayer of the United States pay for everything…
