“Success Story”

I was successful in the Military Police National Guard for 8 years. I had great job thanks to my Dad and on the job training as the airport Electrician at Bradley Int. airport for 20 years. I was a Career employee because of my training at that airport of the Federal Government at the Submarine Lower Base and the Hospital in Groton Connecticut for 3 years. That made me a Career Federal Employee. I stopped smoking cigarettes 20 years ago and for the past 10 years I have been a Vegetarian. But by far the best achievement to date for sure is that I been Clean and Sober and without a drink of Alcohol or a substitute for 41 years and I have never been so grateful for anything in my life.. Each night I thank God for my life… That alone is a miracle..

I think, just maybe if you don’t smoke, don’t drink and are a Vegetarian your resistance will be much higher. The smoker has Lungs that are corroded in Nicotine then the drinking weakens your Liver and Kidneys and eating meat with all the drugs (growth hormones, anti-antibiotics and steroids) they give to Chickens and inject into Cattle and Pigs that go into your system is the icing on the cake.. I’ll bet most of the people who died did all these things..

“The First Addiction”

Years ago, when we were babies one of the first things we remember seeing was our Mom and Dad smoking cigarettes. Fortunately my Mom didn’t smoke but my Dad did. I was little but I remember the smoke, the smell and those dirty ashtrays.. It will be, most likely your first addiction because if Mom or Dad did it, it was OK for you to do it. The drinking alcohol came later when you noticed that blue stuff in that neat glass with the tall stem.. They said a glass of wine with dinner was something that everybody did. You didn’t know they called it a stem then but it must be cool because if, well you know the drill by now..     Our Country and its free enterprise system has many pitfalls.. The problem now and has been for a long time is that Money is the most important thing along with being able to live comfortably. However now greed has blended in and more or less taken over and its become a very sick process. Now people think that being happy is about having rooms filled with money and if you become unhappy for any reason these days, you are programed to drink to feel better, drink to celebrate and drink when you feel sad. When that doesn’t work good enough you, you take that anti-depressant along with the drinking… Sooner or later that so called friend of a friend introduces you to, lets call it illegal drugs and we know what happens from there. You try it…  Here is where you make the biggest mistake in your life because you think addiction can’t happen to you. The process has begun. It is the beginning of the end..

Part 2

With all these drug overdoses and drinking sicknesses and yes if you drink alcohol and use drugs you get sick quicker because your natural resistance to diseases is broken down. Did you know that if you didn’t smoke, drink or use drugs these days they call it being, “clean and sober”. Did you even know being sick is usually related to the excessive drinking of alcohol. Do you know what its like not to smoke, use drugs or drink alcohol? Do you know how you feel when you don’t smoke, drink or use drugs? Do you know what its like when you are healthy enough not to need pharmaceuticals to be well and happy most of the time?  Do you know what its like not crave anything but food because you are hungry… I do.. And I can safely say, stay tuned and God bless…

“My Economy”

A lot of what I wrote here is nonexistent in America today. Now in America its instant gratification and debt. That is the only way to go. More and more people are programed to spend anyway possible without thinking of the consequences. I had a wonderful patient father that taught me me the value of a dollar and how to save for a rainy day…….. Read on…..

Today’s topic is about finances. The dictionary describes this as, “control of money, the business or art of managing the monetary resources of an organization, country or person.” Wow, I could do something with that. I mean I could really be angry and show someone how save or spend but this is about my economy… Lately with me, its mostly using what I have been taught all my life. Lets start with credit. In these times of economic disaster and believe me, it is economic disaster. Its the worse I have ever seen…I never ever charge anything. I buy very few luxury’s if any. Because I saved in the past I’m fortunate enough to be able to buy what I want. I just don’t like to overpay for anything. I won’t give them an extra nickel if I don’t have to. I only buy things on sale with a coupon. Especially food but I never buy two to get one. The rule for me is if I want something and don’t have the money I’ll wait till I have the money to buy it, even if its inconvenient…I save (a word seldom used these days) money for things…I put a few dollars away for emergencies. Like a new Computer just in case I need one. I save for car maintenance. Oil changes every 3000 miles or if something breaks. My Mustang, paid for by the way, is a high maintenance car so its important to have it checked out at least once a year whether it needs it or not. Like to rotate the tires or front end work. You don’t want know what I paid for a break job for that car. At the speeds on the highways these days you had better do something. The insurance for that car is not cheap either so I have to save for that. I always pay bills as soon as I get them, never waiting till their due. My rent is paid a few days before the first of the month, I don’t remember when I have paid interest in any form …When I have moved in the past I always use the landlord or the building manager as a reference. You can do that if you pay your rent on time. I could travel anywhere in the world if I want but I don’t want to deal with all this terrorist nonsense. I’m an American and worked hard for my country. I worked for the State, the Federal Government and the Army National Guard. I have top secret clearance for the Subase in Groton Connecticut…My history will not be ignored. I don’t deserved to be searched and if I ever walked through security at an airport they should salute me…..When I worked at Bradley International Airport I used to fly for free and everybody knew my name. I save my change for the laundry and never wash unless I have a full load. When I get gas for the Mustang I never put more than $20 dollars in the tank…I will not carry around all that gas. Its heavy. Leave it in the ground at the gas station, it will be there if I need it. I do a lot of things to economize and cut back. I just absolutely refuse to give them anything if I don’t have to. Most of this for me is common sense and the end result is I have money in my pocket at payday and I don’t owe anybody anything…

“Ads or Popups”

Commercials, Ads, Pop-ups, or obnoxious videos without permission is an invasion of privacy and deserve any negative action against them. I will never buy anything or condone any interruption in my service. I will make it my goal in life to discourage anybody and everybody from putting up with the insanity these bottom feeders try to sell.. You have my word on that….

“Ad Block”

I’ve tried them all.. I use the one with the best Adware, Popup blocker and Ad block. Its learning how to these to your advantage that helps the most.. I have been using the Internet for years so its been a process of elimination. The good news is that I don’t remember when I have seen a commercial or had a Pop-up.. That tells me it works great… I would change if I started having problems. My rule is always be able to change in a moments notice if need be.. Good luck out there none of this happens overnight. It takes time to learn what to do and what not to do……I even installed on my Galaxy J7. I haven’t fine tuned it yet but it blocks Google ads on the free games I play…

“Going Home”

I’m back one day at a time.. I’ll be going back to Niantic Connecticut. I don’t know when. I shouldn’t be too long now.  Hopefully before Summer.. I miss it there.. Its a long story and I’m trying to put it in the past.. I’m over the pain and disappointment . It hasn’t been easy.. Just looking forward to the future now..

“Ignore Ads”

Ignore any advertising on my page. I didn’t put it there. Its most likely a rip off or they are trying to steal your credit card number…If you want to ask me a question EM me at ljc4re@sbcglobal.net

“A Crow”

This is a true story……The other day as I was waiting for the light to change…..I glanced to my right and seen a Crow at the feet of a lady who was raking her lawn… That’s right a Crow. He was tapping at the rake with his beak and with his little feet was swishing the twigs and grass clippings around on the ground…I couldn’t resist. I pulled into her street and stopped. I asked the lady if that was a Crow? Silly question but at that moment I was astonished that a crow was helping her rake the lawn…Yes, she replied saying that her daughter saved the Crow when it was a baby and every once and a while, no kidding here, “comes back to help around the yard“..…I told her that I thought that was beautiful, I couldn’t think of anything else to say and I really thought it was beautiful..…Meanwhile I was watching them and reaching for my camera which fell behind the seat…She said, “her daughter nursed and fed the Crow when it was a baby after the mother crow disappeared leaving the baby on the ground“…It was too late for the camera now so I muttered “Beautiful” again and pulled over more to the side of the road to watch….The lady said, “Oh, he can be a pain sometimes but I don‘t mind“…Wow, I thought, I wish I had a friendly Crow that would help me sometimes…She continued raking and the Crow helping as I watched…. She stooped and picked up the grass, twigs and debris, put in in a basket, then picking up the basket…She turned to me and said, “goodbye” and walked the 50 feet to her garage and went in.…Meanwhile, the Crow walked behind her towards the house and when she went in he started flying in circles around the yard, cawing like he was saying, I’ll be back later” He flew around the yard for a few seconds and left, disappearing into the woods…..I sat there for a minute, amazed thinking, now that is Gratitude. I think there is a lesson in there somewhere…
